*Per New York State Education Department requirements, all students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program must successfully complete 60 credits of Liberal Arts and Sciences coursework. If needed, students should use Open Elective credits to fulfill these requirements, beyond their General Education courses, and look for courses with the “LA” attribute when registering.

Students who choose the major in General Accounting with a specialization in Data Analytics must complete:

Business Core

  • course - Intro to Financial Accounting

  • course - Intro to Management Accounting

  • course - Intro Data Analytics

  • course - Business Law I

  • course - Bus Presentations & Branding

  • course - Financial Management

  • course - International Business

  • course - Principles of Management

  • course - Principles of Marketing

General Accounting

The University’s 15-credit residency requirement in the major of General Accounting with a Specialization in Data Analytics must be met with 12 credits in with Accounting (ACCT) courses numbered 250 or higher, excluding course and course plus course - Strategic Management (cc) (senior-level capstone course).

  • course - Intermediate Accounting I (formerly ACCT 240)

  • course- Intermediate Accounting II (formerly ACCT 241)

  • course - Strategic Management

  • Any two additional ACCT courses (except course OR course, Internship in Accounting I or II)
