Latin American Women Writers and Revolutionaries

Description

This course explores representations of women and society by Latin American women writers from the colonial period to the present. We look at authors committed to political activism from within liberation movements and in exile, and we analyze works across literary genres that posit writing as a vehicle for social change with a focus on gender and race, labor rights, and cultural awareness.
