Enterprise Risk Managemen

Description

This course intensively surveys Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles and methodologies and explores how ERM integrates into an organization’s governance structure and processes. Topics include risk definition, risk identification, data collection and analysis, development of risk mitigation strategies, alignment of ERM with internal control, audit, and compliance, and creation and management of a firm’s overall ERM framework and processes. This course will examine management tools and technologies that are used by enterprises. The course will make extensive use of the case study method, and individual study and research is a core element of the program. Students will learn how major companies construct and implement ERM programs to effectively achieve financial growth targets and manage operational and outside risk factors. Course should be taken in senior year.
