Description
Strategic Risk Management and Insurance course is from the Chief Risk Officer’s perspective. It intensively surveys Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles and methodologies and the use of insurance and non-insurance products and structures to achieve specific policy objectives. Topics included are life and health insurance, employee benefits, commercial property and casualty, and credit risk analysis from both an individual and business perspective. The course will make extensive use of the case study method, and individual study and research is a core element of the program. Students will learn how major companies construct and implement ERM programs to effectively achieve financial growth targets and manage operational and outside risk factors. Course should be taken in senior year.
