Hlth Assessment & Promotion

Description

This course focuses on concepts and exemplars related to health assessment and health promotion. Students use the potential findings from health assessments to develop health promotion and disease prevention strategies for various populations. Weekly readings of assigned topics allow students to demonstrate the integration of theory and practice into case studies. The role of communication in the assessment process is emphasized and barriers to health promotion, disease prevention and related communications are explored.
