Description
This course is designed to acquaint students with the principles of exercise testing and prescription for special populations (i.e. diabetes, cancer). The effects of exercise on the process of aging will also be examined. Selection and organization of activities for a range of ages and fitness levels are covered. Current research in the areas of exercise physiology and medicine will serve as the basis for development of safe and effective exercise programs for these populations.
