Latin American Literature

Description

This course introduces students to Latin American literature in English translation. While studying diverse writings produced by Latin American authors, students will consider the Latin American histories and cultures from which the literature emerged. Themes and narrative styles such as colonial legacies, indigeneity, and magical realism might be explored in any particular instance of the course.
