Description
The course has been developed to empower aspiring educators to cultivate and enhance the essential skills required for becoming adept problem solvers and proficient classroom instructors. Central to this course is an emphasis on techniques geared towards fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, guiding student behavior, and delivering evidence-based educational methods that foster an environment conducive to learning and active participation. Throughout the course, interactive and open-ended discussions will revolve around emerging challenges frequently encountered by practicing educators, as well as various other factors that impact classroom dynamics. Candidates will be expected to apply these newfound skills and strategies in real-world settings during their clinical placements, providing an authentic context for their growth. Furthermore, candidates will undergo thorough evaluations of their teaching performance at each stage of their certification area by a University clinical field supervisor. The seminar addresses issues relative to the CAEP, and CEC Standards for Licensing Beginning Teacher.
