Audio for Social Media

Description

This introductory course provides students with a foundation in audio production and editing techniques for social media. Through hands-on projects and assignments, students will gain practical skills in recording, editing, mixing, and distributing audio content tailored for popular social media platforms. Students will complete recording and editing assignments to develop an audio portfolio. Topics include, but are not limited to, audio hardware (microphones, speakers, interfaces), software (ProTools, Audacity), recording techniques (field recording and voiceovers), and editing techniques (cutting, fading, and mixing). No prior audio experience is required, only basic computer skills. This hands-on course will provide students with the core audio skills needed to produce quality content for a variety of social platforms.
