Course Description
In "Mindful Communication & Meditation," students will embark on a journey to explore the intricate relationship between mindfulness, meditation, and human communication. This introductory course is designed for students with little to no prior experience in either area, offering a foundational understanding of both meditation practices and the principles of mindful communication. Students will be guided in establishing their own daily meditation practice. The course also explores how mindfulness enhances active listening, emotional regulation, nonverbal communication, and empathy. Through a combination of discussion, reflective writing, and in-class exercises, students will apply mindfulness techniques to real-world communication scenarios.
