Course Description

This is the first in a two-semester sequence of algebra-based introductory physics with integrated laboratory. The focus of this first semester is biomechanics, including how to optimize movement and prevent injury. Conceptual and quantitative application of forces and motion, energy, torque and limb rotation, limb pendula, tissue elasticity, efficiency and caloric expenditure, buoyancy, and motion through fluids.
