Students will analyze several subfields that make up the discipline of evolutionary biology, including paleontology, phylogenetic systematics, evolutionary ecology, population genetics, and evolutionary anthropology. By the end of the course, students will have a renewed appreciation for nature, and share the impression of the famous scientist Theodosius Dobzhansky that “Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution".
